How to Display Your Song Title in Window Live Messenger (Msn Messenger) - Window Media Player

First and foremost, there are no additional plugin involved in this method. Software involved are Window Live Messenger 2009 (Msn Messenger) and Window Media Player 11.

Firstly, select your start button at the bottom left corner (with the windows logo). Go to Programs -> Search for Windows Media Player as shown above.


Your window media player will look like this.


Click "Alt", then a small window will pop up at the top left corner.


From the small window, choose Tools -->Options.


There will be an additional pop up as displayed above.



Click on "Plug-ins" tab.



Click on "Background", then it will be highlighted in blue.



Click the "Window LIve Messenger Music Plugin" in the box situated on the right side of the "background" highlighted in blue.


Login and open your Window Live Messenger windows.



Click the arrow on the right side of "share a quick message", and tick "show what i am listening". And it is done.

Setting PolyGamy / Multiple MSN in a single Computer

Ever thought of having multiple msn at once on your pc? Annoying siblings wanting to have standby mode on msn? Yes you can do it. Manually or automatically.

Automatic method

Download the application from here.

It is a patch for messenger.
Install it and viola.

Manual method

This method will be a bit complicated for those who are new to window's registry.
To avoid complexity, only use the manual method when u encounter error in the automatic method such as installation failure.


1. Click Run in window start and key in regedit. Click OK




2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows Live





3. Right click Messenger and create a new DWORD called MultipleInstances





4. Right click the newly added registry key and choose Modify
5. Set the Value data to 1

6. Close regedit

7. Launch Messenger.

8. If you want another messenger, launch messenger again without closing the other messenger. You only can login with a different window live id for each messenger.

All done! Now you can launch Windows Live Messenger as many times as you want, and sign in with as many WLIDs you want, on one computer. Just don’t try to sign in with the same Window Live ID more than once on one computer or it will throw error 80071392 at you!

AVG is one of the best software in the world. And guess what, it is a free antivirus software but only for personal usage.
