Software needed:
- Files Lite (download from apple store) (to be installed in your Iphone/Ipod)
- NetDrive
What else do you need:
- Wifi Connection
- Computer with a wifi adapter that can connect to the network (laptop usually have it built in).
Installing NetDrive into your PC/Laptop (Click the pictures to enlarge):
1. First, download the NetDrive software from the link above, run it and select your desired language, then click Ok.Start NetDrive:
8. Select your destination drive name. This is a virtually named drive. It's name shouldn't match with your current physical drive.10. As for "Site IP or URL" field and "Port" field, you need to start your iPhone/iPod, connect to the WIFI, then start the Files Lite application.
11. There will be a pop up "Connect to Files lite using the following WebDAV URL: http://192.168.123.7:8080". Type the IP address into the "Site IP" field, and 8080 into the Port field.(The IP may vary depend on your wireless router setting.)
Note: If there are no pop up as in step 11, you will need to check at the bottom left of Files lite in your iPhone/iPod, there is a round button (orange in colour). Click it, then it will show "WebDAV server stopped". Click Start Server. Then click the same button (this time the button turned green). There will be a message stating "WebDAV server running. Connect via URL: http://192.168.123.7:8080 or via Bonjour http:xxxx.local:8080". This is your Site IP and your Port. Type it into the NetDrive window.
12. After the steps, your NetDrive window should look like this. Click "Connect" button to connect to your iPhone/iPod.
14. After connecting, a window explorer will automatically pop up to show that you are connected to your iPhone/iPod via NetDrive. You can then create folder, and drag pdf files/text files/ or documents into the folder.That is all folks. Happy Reading. :)
